Running this hack is easy enough. Start MarauderFree.exe and then run CS:S. Join a server and press insert for the menu. You can navigate the menu with the arrow keys or with the mouse keys / scroll wheel.
Playing on VAC secure servers with the free edition is not a good idea. Its not my fault if the free edition bans you. The VIP is guaranteed secure and will not get you banned. Security features have been removed from this edition in order to protect the VIP.

First off, Be sure to backup the files which this mod replaces -- some servers won't accept changes to sound scripts due to consistancy checks.
In here are modified cstrike sound scripts, modified so that: - You may hear a lot farther than usual generally-- physics, gunfire, footsteps, shell ejections, the c4 - Hostages Now have footstep sounds :>
Installation: Extract the scripts folder inside the cstrike folder.
I've used these for quite a while and tis quite useful -- especially if you're the last one standing.
Important Notes: VAC will NOT ban you for using this -- this is script mod; nothing that alters the executable itself (which VAC mainly looks for).
